How the Source Map Works

New York records rules do not make every source interchangeable. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s current roster can show county-jail custody and an image where the agency displays one. Sheriff Records handles photo inquiries and FOIL requests. Courts determine what occurred after an accusation, while the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision locator answers a different state-custody question. This site brings those routes, limitations, and request details together without copying records from them.

Limits of This Reference

This is a private information resource, not part of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Chautauqua County Jail, any New York corrections department, or another public agency.
